The other day, while wandering around a new neighborhood, I had the extreme good luck to stumble into the studio of Park Jun Seo. He is a doll maker and artist based in Seoul. He teaches bi-weekly classes which, sadly, I was unable to attend. His dolls are just amazing; the photos do not capture the exquisite uncanniness of his pieces--which remind me of W. T. Benda meets Hans Bellmer--but will you give you an idea. It is my dream to get him New York to teach a class at Observatory.
You can find out more about his work here. And, as always, click on images to see larger versions.
