I did not mention it on this blog, but sadly, on one of my first days in Seoul, my good camera--the Canon 5D--died. It died at the Seoul fish market. I have finally processed its last images. A bittersweet farewell to a very wonderful and very expensive camera...

A Few Loose Ends
Things got very busy over my last few days, so did not have time to process these photos until my return.
The antique mall!
The last supper, complete with random, unexplained black-out.
A royal procession at the airport to mark my departure!

Gyeongju
When I was in Busan, I paid a visit to Gyeongju, which is the former capital of the Silla Empire ( ) and about an hour from Busan. It is filled with ancient burial mounds and amazing temples. I saw a lot of amazing stuff but, sadly, lost my camera bag which had my memory card, so I only have a few photos.
The first set is from this strange small-town proto-worlds-fair event that was going on called the Gyeongju World Culture Expo. It was bizarre.
And here are some photos from around town. Geyeongju felt very different from Seoul; it seemed that "the miracle on The Han" had missed this small town.
